Healthy Savory Trail Mix

Satisfy your snack cravings with this Healthy Savory Trail Mix! This nourishing snack recipe is full of a variety of nuts, seeds, savory spices and chopped meat sticks. It's packed with protein and healthy fats, while being super flavorful and satisfying. Make a big batch to have on hand for a grab-n-go snack throughout the week!

  • Preheat your oven to 325F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  • In a large bowl, add almonds, cashews, pumpkin seeds, avocado oil, honey and seasonings. Stir with a spatula until all the nuts and seeds are coated.
    2 cups raw almonds, 2 cups raw cashews, 1 cup raw pumpkin seeds, 2 tbsp avocado oil, 1.5 tbsp honey, ½ tsp chili powder, ½ tsp garlic powder, ½ tsp onion powder, ½ tsp paprika, cayenne, 1 tsp kosher salt
  • Spread nut and seed mixture evenly out onto prepared baking sheet. Transfer to the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes total - stirring after the first 10 minutes, and then stirring again after the second 10 minutes. The nuts should be lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let cool down on the baking sheet - this will likely take 20-30 minutes.
  • Once cooled, break apart any large chunks. Then, add in the chopped meat sticks and toss to combine. Transfer the trail mix to an airtight container and store in your pantry for up to 2 weeks!

*NOTE: Feel free to use any mix of nuts you prefer - walnuts and pecans would be great in here too. Just make sure that they're raw (not roasted & salted) and that you have about 4 cups in total.
