About Me

HI, I’M MADDIE!

Recipe creator and lover of all things food, wellness and self-growth.

My goal is to help you have fun in the kitchen, in a way that makes your body & soul feel great!

I know that food, health and wellness can feel confusing and overwhelming. That’s why I wanted to create Munchin’ with Maddie, a space where you can find simple recipes to support you wherever you are on your wellness journey! My recipes are made with real, whole foods and guaranteed to make everyone smile 🙂

So what’s the story behind Munchin’ with Maddie?

Growing up I split my time between being glued to Food Network and being in the kitchen helping out my mom. While most kids had dreams of being a doctor, I wanted to be a professional cake decorator. Although I never pursued that career, my love for cooking and baking has stayed with me to this day.

I started my instagram account in the summer of 2018, right after my freshman year of college. My goal was to show that healthy eating could be fun and taste good too. At first, I was creating “macro-friendly” recipes and my handle was even @macroswithmaddie. I was obsessively tracking my macros and lifting weights so that I could look a certain way. Safe to say, a lot has changed since then (for the better)!

After a few breaks to study abroad and just live my life, I felt drawn to come back…this time with a new name and perspective. Munchin’ with Maddie was born in early 2021 with a focus on feel-good food. I said buh bye to my overly restrictive diet and exercise routine and welcomed a balanced lifestyle.

In September of 2021, I decided to take a huge leap of faith and start this blog so that I could continue to share recipes and chat with you all!

Welcome to Munchin’ with Maddie! I hope you love it here. I am so grateful for each and every one of you. Your support means the world to me.
